When to Seek Medical Help

If you only have mild case of eye twitching, you usually don’t really have to consult a physician.  However, if eye twitching involves your actual eye moving uncontrollably and the condition doesn’t go away, then you should go to the doctor.  If your eye twitching is accompanied by other symptoms, like a high fever, then you need to report your condition as soon as possible.  If there is any discharge from the eye, that too could be a serious underlying condition, as well.

If you have any of these accompanying symptoms, or if you just have a bad feeling about the whole thing, then you should check with your doctor.  It is always better to be safe than sorry.
